PaceSpend is a personal budgeting app. This notice explains the information we use, why we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we use

With your permission, Plaid may provide account names and types, balances, transaction history and merchant details, and recurring transaction summaries.

PaceSpend does not receive or store your bank username or password.

Why we use it

We use this information only to show connected accounts, calculate spending and cash-flow summaries, categorize activity, and support budgets and recurring-expense insights.

PaceSpend does not sell financial data or use it for targeted advertising.

Service providers

Plaid helps connect financial institutions. Its handling of data is described in the Plaid End User Privacy Policy.

Hosting and database providers process encrypted service data on our behalf.

Security

Production network traffic uses TLS. Plaid access tokens are encrypted before storage, access is restricted to the authenticated user, and sensitive operations are logged using pseudonymous identifiers.

Your choices and deletion

You can disconnect an institution to revoke its Plaid connection and delete imported data for that connection. You can also delete your PaceSpend account in the app.

Account deletion revokes connected Plaid Items, requests revocation of the associated Sign in with Apple authorization when a revocation credential is available, and deletes active account data. Limited encrypted backups may remain until their scheduled expiration.

Retention

Active-user data is retained while needed to provide the service. Inactive accounts are scheduled for deletion after 365 days. Pseudonymous security-event records are retained for up to 400 days.
